I am from NY. And my philosophy was vey much the saame. Eveybody tries to mess with me so why not cut their heads off before they can. I used confusing statements to slow them down and make them turn away. I am agressive and proactive in making sure that i can protect myself. But then something happend. I was defending myself aggainst those who meant me no harm. And then I watch others praise non-reaction but they were trampled over. So where is the balance between letting yourself live without fear and not being a doormat?? only you can decide. but living iwthout constant fear is better than being a boogeyman to everyone you meet.
